Back on 24th Dec 2016, I did a road journey to Kolhapur with my family. The city is famous for Mahalaxmi Temple. The people say when Goddess Mahalaxmi was angry with Lord Vishnu She came to this temple and stayed here. People believe that if you are doing Tirupati Balaji darshan then you must also visit Mahalaxmi temple at Kolhapur. Temple area Scene near the Temple Temple area is crowded. I saw many devotees from South India have come for darshan. Temple has entry gates on all 4 directions. But the management has streamline the entry from one direction and exit from other 3 directions to manage the crowd and make the darshan smooth for all.  One of exit gate of the temple Jewellery and Ornament Shop near the temple Imitation jewelry shops are plenty in the market and they are over crowded. It is located at Kharghar. It is good place to trek in the early morning. The location of the Dam is near to Golf Course of Kharghar. Once you cross Golf Course, Kharghar you will find the muddy roads and that gives you feel of rural atmosphere. The best time to visit the place is after monsoon and during early hours of the day. The single hut make the scene more beautiful Everyone who likes to photograph nature should carry their gear because you will find lot of interesting element which can be captured.
