Kolhapur - Shahu Palace Photo Diary



Early morning 7:30 AM, we headed to Shahu Palace Museum, though the museum opens at 9:30 AM in the morning. But there is small zoo and ground lake. Early morning at Shahuji museum is perfect time for photography.

This is the only tree which is present inside the lake.

On every glass are painted with some events of Shivaji's life

It is absolutely a place to visit and there are lots of history attached to the place. According to me if you spend 2 hrs you will be able to see everything at Shahu's palace museum.

Owe Dam Kharghar

It is located at Kharghar. It is good place to trek in the early morning. The location of the Dam is near to Golf Course of Kharghar. Once you cross Golf Course, Kharghar you will find the muddy roads and that gives you feel of rural atmosphere. The best time to visit the place is after monsoon and during early hours of the day. The view from the half way toward the dam. The single hut make the scene more beautiful Everyone who likes to photograph nature should carry their gear because you will find lot of interesting element which can be captured. The pathway leads to the top and towards the dam The path leading towards the dam is safe and not very steep. I recommend people who are planning to climb to the top should wear sport shoe. Drive to Gadeshwar Dam (Photo Story)

Gadeshwar dam is about 20 KM from Mansorovar(Kamothe). It is beautiful place to visit . The place has rich natural beauty. It took 45 mins to reach till dam based on the traffic.
